This will be a long post filled with words and only words. If you have the time, try reading it. People say, things often have many sides to it. So it really depends on how you look at it and from which point you’re looking at it.

Got this off an email.

One day, while a blind man was crossing the street, a truck ran him down. In the midst of everything, the blind man’s dog got sacrificed as well as he wanted to protect his owner.

The dog and his owner both arrived at the heaven’s gates.

An angel stopped them a they were about to walk through the doors, awkwardly he said : “There’s only one place left in heaven and only one of you can enter. The other however has to be sent to hell.”

Upon hearing this, the blind man said : “My dog does not know the meaning of heaven, let me make the decision.”

The angel gave the owner a weird stare, frowned and replied : “Every being has to be treated equally. I’m afraid you can’t do so. You will have to go through a contest top determine who gets to be chosen.”

Disappointed, the owner asked, “What kind of competition?”

Angel said, “You will have to race. The one who gets to the gates first gets to enter heaven. You don’t have to worry as your eye sight have been restored and you’ll be able to compete fairly. The one with the purest heart has the fastest speed.”

After thinking for a while, the guy nodded his head.

When the angel announced the competition has began, she thought the owner was going to run with everything he’s got in order to get into heaven. Instead of doing so, he took his time and walked in a very slow pace. Upon seeing it’s owner doing so, the dog also followed suit and walked beside the owner.

The angel suddenly thought, how deceitful of him. The dog have been trained for years to follow in suit with the owner and the owner is now using that fact against the dog. All he has to do now is to ask the dog to stop before going through the gates and the owner will be the winner.

The angel said to dog angrily, “You’ve already served him for many years and now that he is no longer blind, you don’t have to walk with him any more. Just run towards the heaven’s gates.” but the dog just ignored her.

The angel stood there and stared at the dog. The owner asked the dog to sit as he upon reaching the heaven’s gates.

The angel was prepared to see the owner walk through the gates by himself.

The owner turned around and looked at the angel and smiled, “I finally sent him to the heaven’s gate. I was worried that he wouldn’t want to enter it and wanted to follow me wherever I went… that’s why I wanted to decide for him… “

The angel was speechless.

The owner continued, “Using this way is the best way ever, I just have to let him take a few steps forward then he can enter heaven. Though he has served me so many years, this is the first time I get to see him. I couldn’t help but walked really slowly so I could see him for awhile longer. If I could, I would want to look after him for the rest of my life but heaven is where he belongs to. Please take care of him.”

After saying all these, the owner commanded the dog to move forward. As soon as the dog’s feet passed the heaven’s gates. His owner disappeared like a feather into hell. The dog turned around and saw the owner falling into the depths of hell and ran after him.

The angle tried to catch the dog but because the dog’s heart was so pure, his speed was so fast that the angel could not catch up.

The dog followed the owner to hell, even in hell, he willingly served his owner.

The angel repented and said, “I was wrong since the very start, they were together as one and nothing could have ever separated them..”
