Thought of the week

I was walking in Petaling Street with my dad just now.
When we passed by a 7 eleven shop,
I saw rice everywhere spilled all over the floor.

At first I didn't give it a second thought,
I heard her crying out loud.
What I saw next really was heart breaking.
Her head was bleeding, blood trickling down her forehead.

My heart went out to her,
I wanted to go and help her but I couldn't
I didn't know why I stopped.

Maybe it was because my dad told me not to.
Maybe it was the person there saying she's crazy.
Maybe it was because I am afraid of blood.

Me and my dad stood there seeing if anyone helped her.
No, no one did.

Everyone was just like us.
Stop, stare and move on
hoping someone would be kind to help.

I did ask my dad why and how could we help her.
My dad said, the shop keeper said she was crazy,
You can't exactly load her into ur car and sent her to the hospital.

I asked again, why can't we contact the police to help?
My dad answered, do you think the police will?

That kind of just shut me up,
Through the whole day,
I couldn't stop thinking about the scene.
Wondering how was she now....

I never got to find out.
She wasn't there when we passed the shop again.

Today was surprisingly interesting.
When I fully charged my camera,

Overall the day was quite productive,

The title suggest that I am going to talk about suicide today.
No, I am not suicidal. I am just going to talk about it.

A lot of teens who suffers from
depression wants to kill themselves.

They think they have unsolvable problems.
They think nobody can help them anymore.
They think life has no meaning anymore.
They also think that suicide is the best way out.

These are VERY wrong thoughts.
Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem.
They just feel like escaping for the cold world.
The hard cold reality out there.

What they don't think about is.
How selfish they are. How inconsiderate they are.

Imagine a guy killing himself over a breakup,
The girl would most probably live in guilt for eternity.
Vice versa.

What about the parents?
The parents who lost their kids.
They will blame themselves for not stopping it.
They will blame themselves for not noticing it.

And is this how you thanks your mum?
She went through the tough 9 months.
The painful laboring.
She woke up in the middle of the night to tend you.
She who put so much of her time into you.

People with symptoms of suicide :

• talking about suicide or death in general
• talking about "going away"
• referring to things they "won't be needing," and giving away possessions
• talking about feeling hopeless or feeling guilty
• pulling away from friends or family and losing the desire to go out
• having no desire to take part in favorite things or activities
• having trouble concentrating or thinking clearly
• experiencing changes in eating or sleeping habits
• engaging in self-destructive behavior

If you know someone who has these symptoms,
Advise them to see someone for help
It's not normal for someone to act like this.

Don't say... "it'll be pass..."
Don't think... "he/she wouldn't dare.."

I'd have to say
I rather safe than sorry.
The best you can help the person is to listen.
Let them vent out their anger and problems.

By the time they're done,
They should at least feel a little better
And may reconsider the beauty of life.

A young cowherd named Niulang (Chinese: 牛郎; pinyin: niú láng; literally "the cowherd", the star Altair) happens across seven fairy sisters bathing in a lake. Encouraged by his mischievous companion the ox, he steals their clothes and waits to see what will happen. The fairy sisters elect the youngest and most beautiful sister Zhinü (simplified Chinese: 织女; traditional Chinese: 織女; pinyin: zhī nǚ; literally "the weaver girl", the star Vega) to retrieve their clothing. She does so, but since Niulang has seen her naked, she must agree to his request for marriage. She proves to be a wonderful wife, and Niulang a good husband. They lived happily and had two children. But the Goddess of Heaven (in some versions Zhinü's mother) finds out that a mere mortal has married one of the fairy girls and is furious. But once a year all the magpies in the world take pity on them and fly up into heaven to form a bridge (鵲橋, "the bridge of magpies", Que Qiao) over the star Deneb in the Cygnus constellation so the lovers may be together for a single night, the seventh night of the seventh moon.
