Losing touch

She tries to grip onto the rope. She sees the strands of jute slowly breaking… She holds on as tightly as she can. Her hands are red with pain from the friction against the rope but she’s not letting go. She screams for help but her cries echo’s back to her. She closes her eyes and prays for a miracle. Trying to make her way up the fragile rope.

There’s no way she was ever going to get up there. The rope starts to slid. Her hands are numb from holding on for too long. She has tried her best to inch up but she couldn’t. Looking down beneath her. She closed her eyes. Letting go off the rope and free falling into darkness.
